Starboard! is made and run by Phillip Reeder, Washington, United States. This policy says what the app and its race server collect, why, how long it is kept, who processes it, and how to delete it. In short: there is no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics. What leaves your device is what online racing needs, plus optional usage analytics you can turn off.
Practice racing, My boat, Help and Settings work without an account and send nothing to us, apart from the optional usage analytics described below.

Settings has Share usage data, on by default. While it is on, the app sends us events about how the game is used: first-race completion and skips, how hints retire, the path from practice to online racing, queue waits, drops and rejoins, network round-trip times, and performance data from Apple's MetricKit (frame rate, hangs, thermal state and energy by device model). On your device these are keyed to a random install ID, not to you. Turned off, the app sends none of them and racing is unaffected. Apple also provides crash reports under your own Apple analytics settings.

In the app, Settings has Delete my online data. It deletes your profile, rating, chat history and the reports you filed, removes you from the Game Center leaderboard, and replaces your player ID in kept race logs with a random one, so other players' results stay valid while nothing in them points to you. You can also email support@mobileregatta.com and we will do it for you.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for tracking across apps and websites. The app has no advertising identifier and never asks for tracking permission.
Online racing and chat are for players 13 and over, and the App Store rates Starboard! accordingly. Game Center accounts Apple marks as underage, or as restricted from communication, see no chat. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has, email us and we will delete it.
Wherever you live, you can see, correct or delete your online data by using the app or emailing us. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some US states have additional rights under their law, including to object to processing and to complain to a supervisory authority; email us to exercise them. Our basis for processing under those laws is performing the service you asked for, and our legitimate interest in keeping it fair and safe. Data is processed in the United States.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date above changes and the app tells you.
